Milton Bradley to Sign with Cubs

not that Milton Bradley! The Chicago Tribune’s Hardball blog is reporting the Cubs have all but finalized a 3-year, $30mil deal to make Milton Bradley a Chicago Cub.  Bradley needs to pass a physical, which is routine, but I wonder if there is a psychological profile being conducted as well?  If not, perhaps WGN radio’s “Mr. Fix-It” Lou Manfrendini should be on standby to install locks on the broadcast booth doors.  Santo might take him on, and maybe Brenly, but I don’t see Pat Hughes or Len Kasper being the physical type.

I gave my two cents on Bradley already but we’ll see if he can bring his stick to 150+ games in a season, but I doubt it. Still, giving him a breather likely results in more than a few outfields with both Kosuke Fukudome and Reed Johnson playing together, and I’ve seen worse combinations.  So, maybe there is a fit here if Bradley can just keep his head in the game and not live up to his notorius reputation.
