Mark Cuban comments on Cubs sale process
Mark Cuban, on his personal blog commented today on his experience in the bidding process to buy the Cubs. He reveals and answers some obvious questions but it seems his tactics may still be unfolding. Cuban requested an extension to continue working on valuation and funding possibilities to close this deal in his favor. He says he is still waiting.
My belief is even though the “winning bidder” is rumored to be announced this week, there is a long way to go before anyone can put together funding for a deal like this, in today’s market. So Cuban’s tack of asking for an extension might well have been inadvertently granted as the “winning bidder” is nothing without the cash changing hands. Now this is getting interesting!
